THE CONFERENCE

Since its establishment in 1985, the Chinese Institute of Transportation (CIT) has been endeavored to promote academic researches on the topics of transportation system planning, design, operation, and management. By exchanging professional knowledge and experience in the conference, CIT has been assisted local governments and transportation operators in developing more efficient transportation systems to improve their transportation service quality.
In light of arising opportunities across the Taiwan Strait, Taiwanese enterprises are rethinking strategy for global logistics. The Conference theme “Blue Ocean Strategy For GLOBAL LOGISTICS” aims at new policies formulation, logistics deployment, and future outlook of transportation for cross straits and global planning. Practitioners and academics are cordially invited to share their knowledge, experience and insights on policy development, technology applications, and research directions to help business and government regaining advantages in global competition.

In the “English Session” all manuscripts should be strictly written and presented in English. All other sessions, either Chinese or English can be used for printed materials and presentations.

PRESENTATIONS AND PROCEEDINGS
Papers selected by the CIT Paper Selection Committee are required to be presented at the Conference and will appear in the Conference Proceedings in CD-ROM. A certain number of high quality papers will be recommended by the CIT Paper Selection Committee to the Journal of Chinese Institute of Transportation, for consideration of publication subject to a normal process with peers review and revision.
THE BEST PAPER AWARDS
Three best papers will be chosen by the CIT Paper Awarding Committee. The awardees will receive Award Certificate and Prize of NT$5,000 for the first place, NT$4,000 for the second place and NT$3,000 for the third place at the Conference.
REGISTRATION FEE
The registration fee is US$120 (US$1 = NT$32 approximately) for non-CIT-member and US$70 for CIT-member. This fee will cover the attendance of the Conference, Conference CD-ROM, lunches, a conference dinner, and refreshments. Accommodation and travel arrangements are not included.
